Kokoon

In today's fast-paced era, concepts such as tranquility, retreat, and privacy have become increasingly rare within the dense fabric of urban life. Cities often feel overcrowded and constricting, intensifying the desire for their antithesis: nature, forest, and the freedom to dwell temporarily — to pause, to breathe, to pitch a tent and simply be.

The design draws inspiration from the forest: light filtering between tree trunks (“louver effect”) and nest-like structures suspended within the canopy. These associations are translated into spatial forms that evoke both protection and openness.

The resulting typologies — cocoons — are designed for flexible use: to rest, read, work, or dine. They function as intimate sanctuaries within the public realm, offering moments of withdrawal where the urban dweller can reconnect with self and space — a true pause in the rhythm of the city.
